Is my skin acidic?

Your skin's natural pH is about 5.5. When your skin's acid mantle is healthy, it protects itself from bacteria, viruses, and other harmful substances that can lead to acne.

How does a low pH cleanser help prevent acne?

By keeping your natural skin barrier healthy! Soaps with high pH dry out your skin by removing your natural oils and disrupt the pH balance. While high pH soaps leave a clean squeaky feeling, your skin can become dry and needs to produce more oil to balance itself.

Low pH cleansers leave your skin soft and supple without the tight feeling. This leads to a healthier skin barrier that is strong enough to prevent acne, balance oil production, and help dryness.
